Layers upon layers add to the complexity and depth of this mixed media work. Stains were added to the canvas in nature in hues of umber and then sheet music was added amongst paper dolls and clothes. The wild poppies represent becoming. Everything that was expected, and what actually blossomed. It’s an overcoming of fear and adversity and all the beauty and joy made manifest.
