A painting from Tiffani Taylor’s new 2018 series, these nine beauties were inspired by her process of priming her canvas with instant coffee… the organic shapes that are created by the coffee stains and granules inspire her subject matter and composition for the piece. All paintings in this series were painted from memory from her childhood home in Wyoming as well as her new home in Savannah, Georgia. Her goal with this series was to capture the “Sublime” found within nature… nature’s imperfection is what makes it so beautiful and this is the way Tiffani paints.

a.       The last time Tiffani Taylor painted her signature red poppies in this dimension and orientation was the year 2014. By doing this, she has given her painting an incredible amount of depth and the viewer can grasp a sense of experience and talent from the artist through her smart usage of foreground, middle ground, and background. Red poppies of her youth take us back to the artist’s childhood… getting close we can see the rough texture of the coffee grounds…
